Off-road motorcycle racing held on enclosed, rough circuits. Motocross is derived from the French, and traces its origins to British Scrambling competitions. The name “motocross” is a contraction derived from the words “Motorcycle” and “Cross Country.” (Also known as MX or MotoX).
